New to the whole Gecko thing.

Hi, I'm relatively new to the Gecko keeping scene and have often found fellow keepers of the same animal give better advice than alot of shops! Any hows just wanted to say hi. My set up consists of a 36"x15"x15" vivarium, Heat mat, 40w infrared heat bulb (my house is cold) 3 hides, one on the cool side one on the warm side and a moss hide. The temp now holds at 85F on the hot side with a heat gradient to the lower.

So far both the geckos in the vivarium are doing well.

Welcome to the forum. There is a lot of good advise here. Sadly, the pet stores do often times give incorrect information. Any problems or questions just ask.
One thing I would like to suggest that for leopard geckos, you may need to bump the hot side up to 90-92.

Really that high? WOW. I have just ordered a new heatmat because the one i have came second hand with the tank and i don't think its as efficient as maybe it should.

I'm looking forward to learning as much as i can from you guys like i did on other forums when i first started out with marine fish.. The advise i got then was fantastic and i hope i can build as good a relationship in this forum as i did in that one.
