Honestly, it's up to you and what you like to see. If you don't enjoy what you produce, then you'll quickly get bored, or not bother. Go to a show and look at some geckos, ask about their genetics and find out what you want to produce. Most breeders will be happy to answer any genetics questions. I love talking about it to anyone that asks at my tables :)

Well, what ever you do buy remember to keep it seperate from any of your other reptiles for at least 90 days.

It is good practice to quarantine any new animals before you introduce them into your collection. Some people do 30 days and some do 90 day or more. This is to make sure the new animal has no potential health issues that could be past to others in your collection.
Even if you opt not to quarantine the new female I would not recommend pairing them up immediately for a few reasons.

#1 Give the new gecko time to become acclimated to her new home/surroundings.
#2 To make sure she is feeding normally (in your care) before she has to produce eggs which is a big drain on there system.
#3 You would need to make sure the female is ready to breed. (the proper size, health, and ovulating)
If any of these things are over looked it could be very bad for your gecko. (JMO)

Yes you need to separately quarantine them for at least 60 to 90 days to make sure no one has any parasites or diseases.

Also, before you breed, do a lot of research. Don't breed different albino strains *together*, etc. etc. etc.

yeah i been doing so much research my eyes hurt, so i know that the sunglow is a albino trait so i need to breed him with a dominant morph what do you think the best morph would be for him?(nice hatchlings)

You don't need to breed the sunglow with a dominant trait. You need to make sure that if it's a Tremper albino you don't breed it to any other type of albino except Tremper. If you breed it to another Tremper you will produce trempers. If you breed it to a non-Tremper you will produce non-albinos that have an albino gene ("het" for albino).

so any tremper would be fine? breeding albinos causes blindness right? thats what i heard.what if their not tremper? nor albino? or is all morphs related to albino

Any tremper morph would be fine. Breeding albinos doesn't cause blindness. Albinos are just more sensitive to light. If you breed to another albino strain you will get normals het for both of those albino strains which if you breed to something else will cause unknown hets and problems down the line for breeding, not knowing what you have or what you will get. And if you breed to a non albino morph, let's say a normal just for simplicity, then you will get all normals het for tremper albino.

Why dont you just get another sunglow?

Please do some more research before you decide to breed.

Sunglows are one of my favs. Why not look for a Sunglow Enigma? Look for one with more carroting on the tail is what I would say.

i took all of your guys advice and decided to hold off on breeding, i purchased a baby leo instead of a adult ready to breed so raising the baby leo will give me a lot more experience and time to research about breeding thanks again for all the advice!!
