Hey guys,

I just made my first foray into the gecko world ( after a few weeks of lurking around these forums)

The gecko is about 5 months old

I got him on mealworms but since its only been 2 days he has not eaten yet.

My questions are:

First and Foremost, what morph is he?

does it make sense to make my calcium dish the same dish as my mealworm feeding dish ( i plan on just leaving meal worms in there 24/7 and replacing when needed).

IF SO- would i still have to dust the mealworms every 2-3 days since they would effectively be swimming in calcium all the time?

IF NOT- should i keep a seperate dish for calcium and the MW's and dust the meal worms every 2 to 3 days?

Also, other than a moist hide, dry hide, mealworm dish, water dish, and calcium dish, am i missing anything that should be in the tank?

Thanks much!

I think it looks like a high yellow? Correct me if I am wrong but looks an awful lot like mine. Great looking guy too :) Set up sounds good. UTH under the tank for heat? cool dry hide? other then that sounds like ur off to a good start! Good luck

Yep, looks like a high yellow, not quite an adult yet either. Beautiful little guy.

You can keep the mealies in the calcium bowl, a lot of people do. Sometimes you might want to supplement with vitamins, though, in which case you can just dust the mealies before you throw them in the calcium -or- get another bowl and have feed the mealies in there once or twice a week
