Hello everyone I have not gotten a gecko yet as I research as much as I can before getting any animal. I have a 40 gallon size reptile enclosure and want to use it for a gecko. I have a relatively local reptile rescue group I plan on adopting from.
I want to set up bioactive but not sure this is a good idea being new to geckos. What’s everyone’s thought on substrate and/or floor tile vs reptile carpet, paper towels etc. I have a chameleon I adopted over two years ago so not brand new to reptile keeping I guess and I am a retired vet tech so I do have experience with animals. But want to be a responsible guardian so want to go into this with as much knowledge as I can before adopting a gecko. Most likely a leopard gecko. Thank you
