I have just recently got my first leopard gecko and i am wondering how often i should check its weight.

Whenever you feel like it, if it seems to be gaining or losing a lot of weight, or not at all if there are no problems.

He he well yah true. Weight was introduced by breeders who wanted to make sure the female was heavy enough to lay more eggs. Once they lay eggs they can loose 30 grams. Normally like 20-25g. Like when I had just my female by it self I didn't have a scale. Now I got my male. So I am looking for a scale that actually works.

I weigh all of my Geckos once a week. Snakes every 2 weeks. I weigh just to keep an eye on things and to be sure they are growing properly.
