I had an egg that was 2 weeks overdo, and had been dented in for a week ad a couple of days, well I was going to throw it away but my g/f wanted me to cut it open, I did and there was a gecko inside, I was going to throw that away figuring it was dead, but it started moving around and breathing, I moved it to a container lined with wet napkin and put it back in the incubator, it still has its yolk attached and has not opened its eyes, I was wondering if I did everything correctly or if I did anything wrong please tell me so I can fix ASAP, and what should I do now?

Thanx, thats good to hear, I was really worried i did something wrong, he is starting to gain strength now it looks like, he moves around when touched and is still breathing. He will move his legs and tail from now and then too. Wish him luck.

Happened to me once. Really all you can do is wait it out and keep the hatchling warm and moist. Its possible the baby did have a tooth but wasn't ready to come out yet and you "hatched" it too early, which is what happened with me. It might make it. Hopefully it'll gain some strength and start moving around. I'd leave it in the incubator until that happens. It's safest, warmest, and the humidity is the best in there.
