So have 3 respiratory infections 2 geckos and a bearded dragon. All have been to vet, all are on antibiotics. About half way through the medication and no improvement can be seen. Bearded is eating, one gecko is still fat tail and last is getting very skinny. Upped cage temps got a dehumidifier running. Anyone else have other suggestions?

I agree. My vet usually sends me home with Tetracycline when I have a small mammal, reptile, or amphibian with a bacterial infection. He's recommended baytril a couple times but its almost always tetra.

I also use Bene-bac whenever I have to give an antibiotic. Its a probotic supplement that increases the good bacteria in the animals stomach and helps them to digest and utilize the nutrients in their food better in times of stress. To be honest I usually dust feeders with it once a month, just for good measure.

im currently having success with Reptaid, a product made by Amber technology. I think you may want to check out Reptaid or other ambertech products.

I have very little faith in most vets when it comes to anything other than cats and dogs... obviously there are some exceptions.
