No tell tale signs of gravid

My female was with a male since there were hatchlings and they were separated about a month ago.( they are both around 8 months and she is 55g and he's 60g) there was no mating behavior that I noticed so I thought they would be ok together. I noticed last night that she was digging at the glass for a little bit and walked away, I thought it was strange but since she acted normal after that I just chalked it up to curiosity and went to bed. I woke up this morning and the warm hide was all dug out and she was sitting halfway in it. I lifted the hide and moved her out of the way and saw two eggs laying there!!! She had been eating normally and had been just as active as she always was, she was even gaining weight?? Any ideas why there were no signs? The one egg is slightly hard and the other is very soft, I put them in damp Eco earth and put it on the warm side of the tank and them temp is right around 81. I am not looking to breed or have any more geckos. Should I just freeze and discard? Or could they just be infertile anyways. This is her first clutch ever also. Any ideas or explanations would be great thanks!

There were signs. The gaining weight was not body weight but egg development and the digging.

As far as what to do, since you don't want more geckos don't incubate the eggs. She will most likely lay a few more clutches too, so be prepared for that. If you don't want them to breed then don't house them together. He will work his magic without you ever knowing.

Yeah they have been separated for about a month now so there will be no way for another breeding attempt, I just feel bad because I know it put stress on the females :\ but she seems to be doing great as if nothing happened so hopefully she'll be ok, thanks for replying so quickly

Picture of the eggs she laid. She dug down through the Eco earth layer and through the sand layer I use for heat distribution and they were laying right on top of the glass where my ultratherm is at. Any reason she dug down to the heat that's almost 100f? Was she searching for mositure?

She's not thinking about moisture, she's just digging and if it's more shallow than she's conditioned to dig, she'll go all the way to the bottom.
