I just put my HTCT female in with my HT Pos het for rainwater albino male. She is really giving him the cold shoulder. She keeps running away and flicking him with her til when he gets close. Should I leave them together? This is my first year introducing leos. Mine have always been housed together in the past and it just happened normally. Any advice would be appreciated. thanks

I usually don't leave mine together if the female is really flipping out. Just watch and make sure she's definitely ovulating before you put them together. If she 's protesting violently she's probably not ready yet. I know some people like to leave them together for a few days a time though.

Thanks. She is still walking away from him but not violently. She has calmed down a lot. She is definatley ovulating. I am sure of this. I will keep an eye on her. Thank you, Mike

If you feel that the male can take "no" for an answer and leave her alone for awhile without beating up on her I think it's worth leaving them together, especially if there are more than enough hiding spots. Things may improve during the night. Some of them seem to be more "comfortable" when it's late, dark and quiet (some people too . . . )
