I just got this gecko 3 weeks ago, and this seems to be a developing problem, almost like a lack of calcium - type of indentation around this dreamsicle's nostril. It can from the humid East coast to the NV desert, so... could this be related to acclimation problems,.. Sorry for fuzzy Gopro pics,... the 1st pic shows the indentation on the right nostril. Please Advise Knowledgeable Gecko Guros!

I dont see why the OP would take the gecko to the vet first if they were exchanging it. That would be the breeders responsibility.

She didn't say if she got it from a breeder or not. And who's to say the breeder will take it to the vet? I'd still take it, not just go, "Oh, well, it's sick. Give me another one. Your problem now." Just want to know for certain that this gecko will get the help it needs.

I must say i totally agree with you. It is most likely that the poor thing will be left to suffer in a corner or it will be "dispatched of" because the place it came from wont want to spend money on her. im not saying atall that this is true for every one but it is shocking how often this dose happen. :(
If that were me i would keep her and seek medical help from a vet because i would be too frightened that something horrible like that would happen to her :(

I once had two hatchlings that tested positive for crypto. the breeder said they would exchange them and to return the ill ones but i knew what could potentially happen to them, i wanted to keep them so that I could be happy in the knowledge that their last days were as "happy" as they could be. and im glad i did.

I agree with sausage. For one I could NEVER EVER give up my Ozy (she's WAYYYYY past the return grace peroid anyways.. LOL!) Let's say for some odd reason she did get sick.. There is no way I could have just taken her back. I'm too attached, and like sausage, would be VERY worried about what would happen to her

Its ovbiously from a breeder. You cant find dreamsicles in pet stores yet unfortunately.
I dont think its fair to expect the OP to pau for vet bills on a gecko he will likely trade.
Who knows if the breeder will do anything? I would. Why do people always assume the worst in people.
Do YOU want to take it to the vet? Thats the only way you'll know for sure its getting help.
