Not fattening up and wrinkly skin

So I have been feeding Zynx 12 crickets everyday, and yet she is still not gaining weight, she gets a little belly after eating that many crickets but then the next day she has the little wrinkle again, ever since I've gotten her I haven't been able to get her tail fattened up and get weigh on her, she isn't a stick she just looks thin

Have you tried waxworms? They tend to fatten them up alot!

no I haven't tried waxworms, i got some super worms and Zynx is absoulutly TERRIFIED! of them, she raises her tail straight up and presses hard against the glass hunched down,like don't get me big buggy!

So i pulled the head off(OMG THE MOST DISGUSTING THING I"VE EVER DOne) sat there for like 5 mins waving it in front of her face with no response

LOL they are sick when u take their heads off. But try the waxworms. just dont over do them!

To get some weight on my little ones I've given up to 2 wax worms a night, AFTER they eat a few of their normal diet, whatever that may be. That way, they won't refuse other things because of the waxies, which mine are nutso over!

1: What age/size is your gecko? Looks somewhat young in your avatar.

2: What size crickets are you offering? Tiny 1/4" ones, decent sized 1/2", or fully grown?

3: Are you gutloading your crickets for at least 24 hours before you feed to your gecko? What do you use?

4: What are you using to base "no gain" on? Just the way it looks, or by a scale?

5: For how long have you been feeding 12 crickets a day?

1. She is supposed to be around 7 months old

2: I am offering I'd say decent 1/2" ones they are slightly larger than the width between her eyes (not much though) and they are fat and plumb and so gutloaded you can see their inerds are green for the cricket total bites,lol and when you squish one juice squirts EVERYwhere

3: Yes I am gutloading but I don't have to wait 24hrs because where I buy my crickets(the pet store I work at ) we gutload them as well.

4: I haven't been able to find a scale small enough (I am getting one on ebay oday) but small enough to measure her weight.
I am going just by looks. She isn't thin like I said, she's just not fattening up it's like everything I feed her the day before is just pooped right out and not stored, and she get's wrinkly sides, and thin like how a juvi or baby looks (completely opposite of her cage mate keekeio)

Oh and I hand feed Zynx 12 crickets then I throw about 8 or 9 crickets in the cage for keekeio and zynx to catch (zynx can never catch any, it's sad, keekeio is just to quick for her)

5: I have been feeding 12 crickets a day about 4 days now but before that I was feeding 8 everyday

Also I wanted to add, that on her stomach is it very pink, not red just very pink and then she has want looks like someone took a dryerase board blue marker and marked her stomach on accident (underneath the skin of course)

Mmkay so the blue dot isn't visible right now, but in the evening before I feed her it is

Okay here you are (on the scale I currently have it goes up by 25g incriments she each dash is 25grams. So as you can see Zynx is below 25grams where as keekeio is above it (the new one is right at 25grams)

i got my scale from bed bath and beyond for like $20 maybe? and its perfect. measures in grams all the way up to 3kg. just a thought.

feed her until she won't eat anymore, make sure the temps are right and make sure she has water. Give your crickets more that commercial cricket food..... lettuce, kale, sweet potatoes...... something

Sounds like you're on the right track. Seeing the belly get bigger and smaller is pretty normal if you're feeding them enough. 4 days isn't enough time to see her put on weight. Give it at least 2 - 3 weeks, then take another photo...I bet you'll see a difference. The spot your seeing is probably just her gallbladder...it all looks fine to me!

No she is a she, trust me, those "bulges" aren't actually bulges their just her skin flapped up from the position she is in, she doesn't have any pores either and being 8months I would expect to see some by now especially at her size, although she is skinny she's not small
