I have been checking my females for ovulation since Jan. and have only had 1 that I could visually see ovulation and led to a sucessful mating. (on 4th clutch) I have 7 females all at breeding age and weight and just dont seem to ovulate. A couple of times I thought they were ready but made it very clear they weren't when intoduced to a male. Can it be that they are just on different schedules? All females ovulate at some time right? Or am I just rushing it?:main_huh: :main_huh:

Keeping together

Thanks for the reply, I will try leaving them together for a while. It's just that I dont want to stress out the females and dont want the males getting attacked. I'll see if the more laid back females will hang out for a while without getting too upset. My males are just too excited when they see those sexy females! :main_laugh:

My female won't ovulate eaither, but my male isnt even interested.. they are in the tank like best friends together.. so some peaople said to try reintroducing and others saidjust be patient.. i took them apart for 2 weeks and put back together.. still no eggs or any sign.

Reintroducing the male to the females in too short periods of time can potentially stress them out more because they're getting moved around so much.

We never leave our together to stimulate ovulation. Every gecko has her own cycle and if you're patient, one day she'll probably be receptive.

It's so hard to wait. I have 8 females and until recently only 2 were ovulating. These 2 are on their 3rd clutch right now (last year at this time I had a total of 7 clutches in the incubator, this year I have only 4). Finally there are 4 more gravid.
