Hello guys,

I have a female SHTCT that is about 2-3 years old, I had never breed her because of the same exact reason she isn't receptive. Last year I decided to give her the breeding season off, so I can breed her with more weight on 2010, she's about 75 grams and shes ovulating, I have been putting her with my Extreme Male today and she's not receptive as always, when the male tries to bite her she responds back and give a big bit to the male, after this the male doesnt try again that much.

Maybe some of you guys have some advices you can give me, this female is just not receptive and she's ovulating..

Well, I would appreciate your help a lot,

Best Regards

Jorge

Some females are just more aggressive than others and know when they can push around a male. We've had plenty of pairings that never happened because the male wasn't aggressive enough to push around a bossy female so we had to go with a different male. Have you tried any other males with her?

lol so what your saying is that every bossy female needs a tough guy to get the job done :)

I think I am having the same problem with one of my pairs. But I dont have many leos at the moment and all my males are wimpy or something. I guess I better order me a rapist!

I have a female that was like that, she was 65 grams. I put her with a 60 gram male and she would have none of it. So I waited and put with my 105 gram mack. She didnt have a problem after that!

Size can have something to do with it but I think it also has to do with personality. We have a couple of Giant males that are huge but they're so mellow that they let most of the ladies boss them around. Sometimes first year breeder males will do the trick because they're enthusiastic. LOL
