If I need to ship somewhere where the high is in the upper 90's, but it's in the 70's at night, would it be safe to ship to the customer center? What time do the packages usually arrive there? Is it temp controlled?

Thanks!

Kristi,

If you are shipping next day by 10:30am then you will need to look at the temps for your destination at that time.

So they don't get to the customer care center until 10:30? I would have thought they would get there earlier.

Thanks!

Whether they get there at 10:30 or earlier, the temp is only going to go up after 10:30 so the temps any time from night time to 10:30 should be OK.

I understand that. My question is what time do they usually get to the service center? Is it 10:30 like if they were delivered to a house? If I'm shipping somewhere where they only have end of day delivery, does that mean it won't get to the customer center until late in the day?

Kristi, they arrive at different times from different places. It depends on they type of shipping also.

Usually if you send by next day 10:30 am delivery it will reach the destination service center between 1am - 5am depending on how far away it is from you. Then the trucks are loaded and on the road in the morning. So the gecko should be safe while it is in the service center for the couple of hours.

I'm not sure about the end of day delivery only shipments. I have not ran into that before.

Usually the Customer Center is the hub for the destination locality. It is where all the shipments come to be sorted to go on the truck and out for delivery. When they arrive at the Customer Center, you are eliminating the box/geckos from getting put on a truck for delivery. They usually just hold the box for the customer to pick up, and they are stored indoors.

This is often what I do when the destination temperatures are extremely low or high (like Phoenix in July or Montana in January), and the box remains safely indoors until the customer comes to pick it up. If you need any help with this, just give me a call!

Thanks!

I did this last week to an area where there was only end of day delivery. The geckos were ready to be picked up at 9:30am.:) It worked out perfectly and I'm glad to have it as an option.
