Okay, here is what I want to know. I have two females. One laid 14 eggs last year, and the other laid 16. I think that was either their 2nd or 3rd year breeding (I don’t actually know I just got them a little over a month ago, but they where both born in 05) I think the 4th years is suppose to the most productive year. However both of these female have laid two eggs (1 clutch) and don’t show signs of producing another clutch anytime soon. I was just curious as to whether or not this is normal. Is it possible that they got worn out last season, and don’t have the energy to produce high number of eggs this year? Also I have a first year female that is suppose looks like she has eggs #13 & 14 in her. Is it possible that she produce low numbers next year?

Just curious, Thanks for the responses in advance.

Most of my females who have bred for a full season have had their first season be their best. I have one female who laid 20 eggs that hatched her first season. This is her 3rd season and for some reason she has been laying eggs in the poop area. She's only laid about 4 or 5 clutches and I"m still waiting for her first fertile clutch to hatch. I will be posting some stats about egg totals across seasons pretty soon.
