blood? Does she have any marks on her body? If not (and it is indeed blood) then I'd be concerned about blood coming from her vent maybe? I'd give her a warm soak, and try to get a picture of her underside. I would like to see the size of the eggs, and what her vent looks like.
Okay, thats a bit of a relief. I'd be really worried if she didn't have any cuts. When I check my females for eggs, I like to pick there back legs up, and let their front legs stay on a desk or table top. Kind of like doing the "wheel Barrow". It lets you see the eggs really clearly. Here's a picture that demonstrates it well:
As you can see, the eggs get pretty darn big before they are layed. The female pictured layed thse eggs a few days after the picture was taken. From the pictures, it looks like they still have some developing to do. I'd just keep your vet updated, but dont think that at the moment a visit is in order. Keep us posted!
STILL no eggs, a bit worried over here. Should I leave a message for the vet, asking what to do? She hasn't eaten in quite a while, at least a month. Not overly active, but moving around. I offered food two nights, she seemed interested yet did not eat. I really want my girl to pull through and feel better soon.
YAY! She's reabsorbing the eggs again, but still not eating. So, I'm giving her a "carnivore baby formula" two/three times a day. I got this from the vet's, the brand is Oxbow, Hay Company. Has anyone ever heard of them?
Well so far...I like it. She doesn't really I don't think but she hasn't lost any weight so I am happy and the vet says she looks really well cared for.
