I just have to say that I can't believe how many people on this forum can't spell! Or, use a spell checker for that matter! What is going on with the kids these days! Actually, some of the people are adults! Simply unbelievable!

I don't notice the spelling problems so much - probably because I'm such a crappy speller - but what I do notice is the people using the wrong words...it drives me nuts!

Half = Have?
Accept/Except
Their/There
Your/You're
and really...how hard is two/to/too??

The list is so long I can't even remember the worst ones!!

A 6 year old in my cheerleading class was teaching me Chinese yesterday. She makes 70% of our members here look like idiots. I think people are just lazy. I don't know, I have dictionary.com in my bookmarks and I'll look up a word if I can't spell it but I have a few OCD issues that many members must not share. :main_rolleyes:

WTF...how can you not know which one to use?? I've seen it used wrong both ways. Chat-speak has totally destroyed English.

LOL...And "Sum" is another one I hate. Is it really too hard to type "Some" instead? REALLY!!?? What is wrong with people?

It also irritates the shit out of me when people consistently spell things wrong. Everyone slips once in a while, but the when people spell stuff wrong all the time, it makes me think they're just plain stupid. :main_rolleyes: (I know, it's my outside words coming out...........:main_laugh: )

My tattoo artist always answers my emails with abbreviated words. One day I replied saying that he needs to stop writing like a 12 year old girl because I had no idea what he said. He had replied in German, that's why I couldn't read it. Just goes to show that people assume you're stupid when you don't take the time to spell out words!
