Ok So prepare yourself because right now between my work (works at a petstore), the interenet, yahoo answer jerks and a plathora of books my info on Gecko care and all that stuff is rather mixed up so bear with me. I want what is completely best for my geckos that is all.

Ok here we go
I have a Zynx a 5 or 6 month old leopard gecko who is rather tiny for her age, but healthy, just tiny. I've had her for 2 months and then I decided that once I knew if she was a girl or a boy I'd get another gecko. Because I had seen so many people with more than one gecko in each cage, I assumed they liked to be together.

Is this true? Or is this a false observation on my part?

But anyways I got another leo, Keekeio. A complete sweet heart, she gives kisses (even if she is just testing her surroundings I like to think they are kisses, lol) She lets me touch her back and head, unlike Zynx who scurries away when I touch her back. But I don't blame her for being scurring.

So I put Keekeio in with Zynx before I even knew about the quarinteen period, and for the first like 5 days, zynx would do nothing but stay in her shedding stump, with the occasional coming out for a short bit. I had noticed she was in there more often that before though (even that is where is during the day, but not at night) But when I put Keekeio in their she stayed kind of put.

What's worse is when I pop open the lid to gently slide her into my hand, she'd hiss, which she hadn't done before. I was a little taken back, that she wouldn't let me touch her, even though she needed to eat. So I left her alone

and played with keekeio (also not knowing about the "let them get used to their surroundings thing") She did wonderfully in my hand.

I thought maybe Zynx was stressed because of Keekeios prescence or scared because Keekeio is slightly chunkier than her, even though they are the same age.

Zynx still hides only in her shedding box during the day like always and now she lets me slide her out again but now that she comes out at night I have notice that she takes the spots where Keekeio was laying and forces her to move else where.

They don't bite each other, it's just when Keekeio comes walking by Zynx she raises up on her legs, but I have seen them also laying right next to each other.

So do you think I should seperate them or what

They have a calcium lid, a water dish, 1 large hiding log, which will hold two adult leos and one small log which will hold 1 juevinille gecko. (Accidently grabbed the wrong size but it still works for now)

Their is also the shedding stump, which is NOW on the hot side (as of today) and has moss and is sprayed every 2 days

They have a blue light that keeps the ground at a good 90 degrees on one side and around 75 on the other no UTH

I take them out to feed them, so I know exactly just how many they are eating.
And each feeding I grab a cricket with my tweesers (dip them in leopard calcium dust and tap the side to knock off access powder and shake it in front of them, they eat)

Right now they have sand substrate, but as of tomorrow they will have grass carpet.

I don't handle them very much because I was told only to handle them 10 mins at a time and only several times a week ( I handle them when I feed them everyday though)

Is that wrong though?

Also they are in a twenty gallon or 25 gallon aquarium (not sure which it is)
Do you think I can leave Zynx and Keekeio (Key-KEE-o) in the same cage, I really don't want to have to seperate them. I also have been checking them over for any signs of cuts, bites anything each feeding, and their is nothing

although I did notice Zynx gained three really white spits right around that slit on their belly, and they didn't exsist before, they are kind of splotchy, is it the sand?
(They have also only been in the sand about a week also, keekeio I have had for a week, and Zynx before that was in newspaper)

I am really confused and I don't know what to do.
I have another 10 gallon aquarium, I COULD put Keekeio in or visa-versa, but I really can't afford anymore things (UTH) at the moment, in a couple of weeks I will be able to though.

I really love my leopard geckos but I keep thinking I'm doing stuff all wrong

also do you guys have any idea what color they are

Also what kind of eyes do they have?
Zynx eyes will be all red with no tan and then they will be red pupils tan irises
Keekeios uhh are just greyish brown with a tiny slit

Well leopard geckos do not need companionship and usually they do not appreciate it. I am sure there are some geckos that like the company but most do not. I have two together but they seem to just mind each others business and they do not bully. It is always better to have your leos seperate though.

I think its more that zynx is super super skinny and the size differnece may be too much.Howver, I think geckos get along great together. I have never had any problems besides my normal and blazing, but it wasn't bad at all. I think you should put zynx in her own cage and start feeding her the slurry that is posted on this site to get her wieght up.Once that happens, introduce them outside the cages for awhile then place them together.

zynx is an albino and just has albino eyes witch are sensitive to light, and can be sensitve to your lamps also. that may be why she doesn't come out.

Thanks guys, Trust me she eats, she eats WAY more than Keekeio does, Yesterday I fed her two medium small crickets then like 5 medium crickets, she has the biggest appietite I sometimes wonder where she stuffs it all

But I will defitnitly try the slurry to see if I can get her to put on some weight
Thanks guys, I think I will get a UTH today then as well :D

Well if she eats it may be possible she has worms or something that is keeping her skinny.
I would suggest get a stool from her and have a vet test it!
