Wow, you're being WAY overcharged for crix - Even the big chains here are $0.10/cricket or less...

Have you tried bait stores? I can get 50 adults for a little over a dollar.. o_O they're the same species and everything.

I wouldnt trust bait stores, they buy from breeders that want quantity so you could get worms or other nasty little parasites.

well you just need to do your research on that and see where they are getting there stuff from. i buy strait from a cricket farm (luckylures) and my geckos are fat healthy and happy, i get 1,000 for 19.00 shiped to my door. so im paying like 2 cents a cricket.

it happens. $50 is still expensive since you can order like 500 for like $20-30!!!

My pet store charges .09 a cricket, for some diseased looking crap that die within a few days. I still think mealworms are cheaper since they last longer and are easy to breed.

i don't understand how y'all buy crickets in bulk! i buy usually 2 dozen at a time, but at least a quarter of those die within the week. bulk seems to work for y'all, but i feel like so many of them would die before i could use them! am i missing something? or do my crickets just die really fast?

You feed 50$ in crickets for 3 Leos and a crested? Thats damn much even if you pay 19 cent a cricket :)
I feed around 1000-1500 crickets a month but with way more geckos and all are fat and raising good.

EDIT : BTW here in Germany I pay 19,5$ for 500 adult crickets I like the US price of 13$ for each size of 1000 crickets much :)
