I'm not very familar with feeding superworms, so this is really the best I can offer.

"Ideally the width of the insect should be no more than 1/2 the width of the gecko's head. The length of the insect should ideally be no longer than the length of the gecko's head."

As long as a small superworm meets those dimensions when compared to your young gecko, then it should be perfectly safe. Width shoudn't be a problem with the worms, but I'm not 100% sure about the length as I'm having trouble locating information about exactly how long a small super is.

It all depends on the size of the hatchling. One of mine who hatched on 5/20 is already eating supers, but her clutch mate who hatched 5/18 isn't quite big enough.

I have never fed any to my baby leos (not even the adult leo in fact). I would say yes, If that is what it had to come to, then yes. Order 'em!

Yes, you can feed small King Mealworms to your hatchlings. Thats what I have been doing for the past 2 months.

Edit: You don't even have hatchlings.. sorry. But you get the idea. The small King Mealworms I have been getting are the same size as a normal Mealworm. The only bad thing is the fact that they grow fast. So.. I can't keep a large quantity of one size [other than adults] on hand.
