What is a good site to order the Meal worms and wax worms online?? I was SOOOO close to making an order on "Worm Mans" Worm Farm.

I had my Cart full and then decided to go ahead and google "worm mans worm farm reviews" before I actually placed my order, and the very first site I came across gave like 80 reviews and 70 something of them were negative!! :main_thumbsdown: Just about all of those reviews said they paid for the worms/items but they were never received!! whew... Bullet dodged. :main_lipsrsealed:

So are there any sites out there that are good and well priced to order the worms and have them shipped to you?

When I need mealworms I use grubco.com and have always been satisfied. If you do a forum search, you'll see that many people have asked this and there are some threads where people give their opinions about the companies they've used.

Thank you for your response acpart. Sorry for a redundant question as well. I did try to do a quick forum search to find this info before I started this thread, but im still trying to figure this board out lol..
Im going to go look at grubco.com right now. How has there shipping been for you?

I use Mulberry farms twice monthly. Their service is INCREDIBLE, and even with regular ground serive, the worms generally arrive about 3-4 days after the order is processed...which is usually the next business day. There have been times I ordered the wrong size worm, (giants instead of regulars), they allowed me to ship them back the giants in exchange for regulars, only cost to me was shipping. They went out of their way to make me happy, even though the order mistake was my own fault. Also, they reimburse you for any dead worms, should you receive them, but I haven't had that problem at all. Worms arrive well packaged, with carrots and potatoes to munch on.

ehhhhhh.. Decisions Decisions.. lol.. I want to make sure I make the right one lol.. I also think I want to go ahead and propagate / Bread Mealworms. So Im trying to figure out if I want to just go ahead and start that with this order ya know.

I guess regardless what site I order from now at this point in time (7pm Friday) the order would not go out till Monday correct? On all those sites?)

Another Concern I have is if I order today, then they would probably arrive Wednesday from the info I am gathering form most of you correct? I have a couple appointments on Wednesday and will not be here most of the day. So will they leave them on the doorstep for me (thats what I would prefer) or would they take them back and make them be signed for?

Mine were shipped UPS and they just drop them by my front door. I don't have to sign.

For Grubco, you need to order before Wed. for them to ship Wed. Depending on where you live, you might have to order sooner in the week. I don't think they ship Thurs-Sun.

Raising weal worms isn't that hard. but it takes a few months to get enough to feed the geckos. Just let about 100 worms pupate and you will have thousands of worms in a few months.

ok ya I think I see/understand what your saying.. But If I were to order today or tomorrow, then they would probably ship out Monday right? Because place the order today, Friday, they then don't ship over the weekend, so then would ship out on Monday for a delivery of Wednesday.?.? Does that sound right to you artgecko?

ya thats what I have heard, so Im gonna give it a shot. Going to go watch some youtube videos on it now to see if they have any good "how to" videos... Cause Im still not totally clear on the process. Like what you do with the beatles etc... I'm sure the youtube videos will remove any doubts though ya know

1000 for 6.50 just seems line an insanely good deal. With 1000 I should be able to start my "Mealworm farm" with like half of them, and then use the other half to use to feed in the meantime no? And for those that order from grubco, do you go with the medium meal worms that range between 1/2" to 3/4".. They are for this lil guy here
