Opinions on best substrate for AFT geckos?

I've been doing tireless research on the best substrate for my AFT gecko. I haven't come across any real conclusions, I've seen pros and cons for all types. I was just wondering if anyone could share their personal experience with different types of substrates

I used coco fiber exclusively when I had AFT's. I misted every night. I never had any problems.

As a breeder, I use rack systems, and newspaper is my substrate of choice. It’s easy to clean, but not much to look at.
A lot depends on the enclosure itself. If you are going for a natural look, I like a blend of coco fiber and soil. The soil helps hold moisture so it doesn’t get dusty, and helps it pack down. Plants will do well in this substrate too. I also add a layer of leaf litter. However, an under tank heater is impractical with thick substrate. I suggest a deep heat projector in this type of set up.
