Just a quick check up. rango is around 8-9 months old now(jeez they grow up fast). I wanted to make sure she looked in proportion. Partly because she started to slow her eating last week. Granted, shes still eating maybe 1-2 supers every other day, dusted. She used to eat 3-4 5 times a week. I thought(because im a noob :p) that she may have been just responding to the season, she doesn't seem to be ovulating, i took pics just in case. No changes to the tank, the turtle hide is new, but she seems to love it more or less.

A gecko in hand is worth 2 in the pan :p
I also included some top shots, i don't have a scale, im kicking myself for it. I am working on it, trust me. I figured though that so long as i watch what shes eating and just monitor her overall shape that i could at least get an idea of what was going on(over weight, under weight etch).

And yes, thats a meatloaf pan. At first we weren't seeing eye to eye, but we are still getting the hang of this whole, "i sit on your hand" and "i feed you"
bit.

I just use the digital scale I bought for homebrewing. I think it was ~$30. As for Rango, she looks fine to me.

Thanks, we do have one at my kmart, but its around $30-$40 for a hefty letter scale. I kinda wanted to avoid that. As for rango, thanks.

lol :p i figured she looked a little chubby. Mayhaps this diet change isn't so bad. Might have to put her back on crickets or take her out more often and make her exercise.

I bought my scale at a local corner store. I'm pretty sure people use this kind of scale of selling drugs.

They do, and that is why mom wont buy me one :p. I've convinced her to get me a scale so long as they call it a jewelry scale and not a gram scale.

I got a scale, its mechanical so probably not as accurate as a digital. However, i did check its weight with a AA battery, and it read almost deadly accurate. Now for the not so funny part, she weighed just about 3ounces, which it said was also around 80-85g. Geez. Its an old mail scale(not really old, i just opened the box) it does pounds, half ounces and grams. So, i have a fat leo i would assume?

that doesn't mean you have a fat gecko! some peoples geckos weigh in at over 100g. I would say that weight is okay. My gecko weighs in at that weight.

I know, shes not fat. But i have little reason for keeping her at that size(i would say shes maxed almost as to what would be normal for her). I dont have any plans as of yet to breed her. Either way shes on a food strike right now anyways :p

Are you sure its not a fat gecko ? I've heard of leos getting around 100g, but thats an ADULT. I also have a 8-9 month old gecko and she's 48g (which i've been told is NORMAL). Maybe your scale is wrong. Heres a picture of mine and it doesn't look 40g less than Dimidiatas.

How long though? Id like to note that i do have freakishly large hands, animals always look small in them. As for the scale, got one. It reads true. I mean, she doesnt really look all that fat. No baggage or fat bubbles under her arms. I will recheck again tonight, count on that. Maybe I miss calibrated the scale?

EDIT: yep miscalculation. lets make that 65-70g. Not 80+ Sounds much more reasonable. For the record though, now i will be getting a new scale. I think ive seen enough options though so we can stop with the scale ad spams XD(im grateful though.)
