I am getting in a pretty good group of geckos. Just wanted some experienced opinions on it and what else I might need to buy to add to it....
Thanks...

adam i think a blue lavender is another term for a high lavender tang. a lot of times they tend to go green but not always.

Here is a picture of the blue lavendar hypo tang....
The lavender purple is just a really lavender gecko, I think he just added the pruple to describe its color better. I do not have a picture of that one on my computer.
Here is the other one.

Robin- Yes, I do know how to care for geckos.
Just to clarify I have owned geckos for almost two years. I am just getting into morphs and getting what I like.

oh ok phew hehe. just checking :)

honestly i think you have a great group there. you might want to pick up a nice male bell :)
i would also try and find a couple of nice maybe 1.1 eclipses (het nothing) to incorporate into some of your projects and maybe some stripes or jungles :)

Thanks for the insight. I will be getting another large group in in a couple weeks. I just do not want all of them in at one time.:main_no:

I am finishing the rack set up this week and will test the temps over the weekend before these guys get here by Tuesday. Just waiting on my heat tape.
Then in two weeks I will be getting another group but I have not decided yet on what I exactly want but there are some Sunglows, eclipses (I will see if they are non hets-I just read last night what those are good for :main_laugh:).
For sure I am getting an 80 gram jungle female and a boat load of others as soon as I decide.
I have been so focused on dragons for so long I have not really paid attention to the gecko morphs.
I am now addicted. I am up hours every night reading about genetics and writing notes. Its like I am in class.lol
I love it and its way more in depth then dragon genetics. Crazy cool stuff.
Thanks!

fantastic! i know they are very cool but too many at one time can be VERY overwhelming. so know what you are getting into as far as taking care of that many animals.

Yes, I fully understand the amount of time and money that will go into properly caring for them.
Over the past few months I have sold over half my dragon collection to make room for my gecko collection. This is not a money making adventure for me this is going to be pure fun and learning gecko genetics. I still do not know near enough about the genetics to plan on breeding yet. This entire group I am getting Tuesday will be juvi's. I want to enjoy raising them myself.
The next group I am getting will be adults. I have yet to get the 30x20x7 bins so they will come in a couple weeks.
The juvi's will be in 20x20x7 till they graduate to trio's in the larger size. I plan on keeping males alone in the 20x20's till they are needed for breeding.
I definitely do not take my animals lightly and much thought and planning over months has made this possible.

30 geckos is much easier to care for then 30 extra dragons.
Geckos are more affordable and poop much less.lol Or should I say smaller amounts of poo.

im wondering how much does a group like this cost i really like to get into morphs more but i find it very costly to find ones i like and can only pick up 1 or 2 at a time is i could find some one that would sell me a group like this one or close to it
