orange on tail

my leo just shed for the 3rd time and he has alittle bit of orange at the begining of his tail. Does this mean he is a carrot tail?

i believe the orange has to take up at least 20 or 30% of the whole tail to be considered a carrot tail.

an official carrot tail to me is atleast 1/4 of the tail orange , but i like to see more like 1/3, but it varies from person to person

I agree with this. I don't really consider anything less than 1/3 to be a good carrot tail. The 15% is almost any leopard gecko out there.

It could. When I got my SHT male, he had the tiniest ring of orange on the base of his tail, after shedding many, many times, the orange became further spread. He's at about 1/4 right now but I still don't really consider him a CT.
