Having had a few friends of mine killed in the world trade attack and having this attack happen in my very own city, I can not help but feel somewhat vindicated and this is a day I will remember forever and smile... This day will never right what happen or bing my friends back but it is day the entire allied world can be proud of...
* The Pro's *
This is a significant success in the "War on Terror". Without doubt a major accomplishment, even if it took nearly 10 years to reach this milestone. Having served myself, I'm extremely proud of what our forces have been able to achieve.
* The Con's *
I suggest we not get too comfortable because Bin Laden is out of the picture. You'd be kidding yourself if you think for a second that there aren't a few dozen "radicals" waiting in the background for their opportunity to "prove themselves". I think the global community as a whole needs to remain vigilant.
My personal opinion ... Pakistan has known all along where Bin Laden was. We suspected it, and in light of where he was killed, I'm 100% convinced the Pakistani government was aware.
