2007 started out poorly here with a New Year's Day power outage that lasted from sometime during the night until 3:00 pm. Fortunately it was a very mild night & day (we've had record lows most of January), but by the time I woke up and realized the power was out, the incubator was down to 70. I added some heat packs and hoped for the best. Not all the eggs made it, but this little girl sure did!!! :D
I was overjoyed to see a healthy hatchling in the incuabor yesterday!!

She is from my RAPTOR het pair Sun & Moon (they are RAPTOR x hypo tangs). I was even happier to see that Sun & Moon were properly aligned....

Congrats Nancy!! She's very cute. I'm sorry to hear about the power outage, I would have been so upset!

Congrats on your first 07. I love the last photo.

That really stinks about the power. I would have hated waking up to that, ugh. I'm sorry you lost some eggs, that really stinks.

Thanks everyone!! :)

Fortunately, at that time I only had 4 clutches in the incubator. And it was also lucky that it never got cold enough that I had to worry about any of the geckos - just the eggs. The second clutch from this pair was also in there. The eggs were stuck together and one I believe was infertile, but both went bad. I don't know if it had anything to do with the power or not. The other egg from this clutch seems small and hasn't yet hatched. Time will tell with the others.

We never did find out why the power was out for so long. New Year's revelry and late night driving were probably involved. A generator is very high on my wish list at this point.

HEY!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats. I saw you had a post and I hoped that the babies were from them. My babies made you babies. I am SOOO happy to see that you hatched out an eclipse. On their first good clutch as well, I will be very interested to see what else you produce. Please keep me updated. That is so awesome. Congrats again Nancy.
