I do think they're very pretty and a gorgeous orange color. The only thing I'm wondering is --if they have spots are they sunglows? Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they're not, just wondering what you and other people think. This past season I bred my male Tremper albino with my SHTCT het for albino and got a good number of albino babies. The ones who lost their bands/spots I called "hybino" and the ones that remained with some reduced spotting I didn't call "hybino". On the other hand, we continue to call "patternless redstripes" by that name even if they later gain lots of spots.

In my opinion, I feel a sunglow with that many spots is not a sunglow... It like calling a spotty tangerine a SHT... However, I am certain that your animal will make sunglows if bred to an unspotted sunglow... The color on that animal is amazing...

We actually acquired a nice male sunglow this year, he's solid orange with a nice carrot-tail....I'd like to see some offspring with carrot-tails and possibly just head spots.....i gotta have that leopard look!

oh yeah, three of my four female sunglows are spotted, so I should see some extreme variation in colors and patterns, etc.! Only one of my females was ready to breed in '08, so the '09 season is going to be a memorable one for me!

this is the father....

I personally like spotted sunglows like Sunny D here :D The burnt orange color really contrasts nicely with the dark spots and the maroon on the tail really completes a work of art!

"Imagine a Leopard Gecko with pink eyes, no black pigment, a rich, solid body hue complimented by intense orange coloration." Quoted from The Urban Gecko on there description of a SUNGLOW. You've got a SUNGLOW, according to Craig and he should know since he coined the name. Congrats again Patrick.

Still dont see sunglows... They are beautiful tangerine albinos... Sunglows should not have spots...
Eric, look on TUG page... You do not see spotty animals... You see sunglows...

Again, they are absolutely stunning and can make sunglows with crazy color if bred to the right animal...

Well all I know Craig sells Sunglows with spots and doesn't call them anything else but a lower star count. He coined the name so that's good enough for me!

Intelligent differences of opinion here guys (Eric and Greg) Anyone else reading the minor debate should know and respect that it is a VERY VERY fascinating subject. I bought a three-star bundle from Craig, so yes they are sunglows, ten points for Eric! It was the FIRST three star sunglow bundle that he offered back in March. What's interesting is this: the bundle was $975 in March.....obviously not the creme de la Urban creme but a great starting point for myself, a science major with a fascination towards the color/pattern variety that genetics has unveiled in the last few years for leo breeders. Ten points for Greg though too: how do you explain the spots??? Well, Greg you had it yourself in one of your first posts on this thread when you talked about the SHT's.....these sunglows aren't just tangerine albinos, check it out: some SHTCT's are not baldy's, well these sunglows are like that but sunglows....thus the color palette is inverted all psychadelic stylez....I've proven they are super-hypo but for some reason they make baldy's, bonus! I have several paths for my spotties for the '09 breeding season....I'd like to see some spotted sunglow enigmaz (will be sick!).....I'm crossing some spotted females to a five-star Urban Gecko male just to see what happens....and I want to try to line breed for dark spots, I can picture a sunglow like the male I posted with the intensely dark spots all over it's body but with close to 100% carrot tail and a RED skintone, sweet goals!!!!!!! Later guys
