Outraged by UPS!

So I yesterday morning I decided to order a female Hypo Tangerine as another housemate for my gals. I was anticipating the arrival of her around 9:00 am. I was watching TV in my living room then I heard a huge thump. I opened the door the UPS truck drove away, but the box was UPSIDE DOWN. So I'm guessing he LITERALLY THREW the box at the porch and left. I opened the box, nonetheless, the gecko was very jittery but unharmed (Externally). I am DEFINITELY going to give the UPS a piece of my mind. This is unacceptable, even if the item is alive or just a simple inanimate object!

Man, if only you had cameras outside your house. I'd be livid, too. I don't know what's been the deal with them lately, it really makes me nervous about using them in the future.

Could be because of the holidays ,they have a lot of packages to deliver but that's still no excuse. The UPS guy did the same thing to us recently too :/

That's why we ALWAYS require a signature!

I do, too, but I've still had them drop off a package or not ring the doorbell and just leave without a signature.:( Most of the time, I have no issues with them though. It's hard to blame a company for one bad driver.

I have two beautiful female carrot tails sitting in 40 degree weather for 48 hrs in Louisville, Ky because UPS screwed up and did not get them original flight out (Left at Facility - they noted) and they clam they can't get them out untill tomorrow but they PROMISE to have them to me by then...........

I'm really getting sick of UPS. They delivered my feeder order last night at 6:40, four days late. UPS ground from SoCal to Oregon is supposed to take three days according to their site, but it took them seven. The mealies and supers were ok, but all 3000 crickets were dead save a dozen or so. Luckily they are being replaced free of charge, but I'm still irritated after wasting the whole day sitting at home waiting for them, they show up during dinner with dead bugs. :main_angry:

Honestly, I might try a different feeder company. Our feeders are always delivered by 10am next day (from the other side of the country) and we rarely have issues, even in bad weather. Having feeders in transit more than a day this time of year is just a bad idea.

I'm not sure who to go with, I have tried three different companies so far and never (literally) had an order go smoothly. The first one I tried never shipped my order, after two weeks of waiting I finally drove an 80 mile round trip to pick them up. The second shorted me by about 600 crickets out of the 3000 ordered, and had a ton of dead worms in their mealies/waxies. Now this third company has sent me DOA crickets twice. I'm ready to give up, I'm moving next weekend and will be about a half hour's drive from my old supplier who was 100% reliable, I would rather drive down to his place than keep dealing with headaches from incompetent suppliers.
