I know a 10gallon tank is the absolute minimum but its the only thing that will fit in my room unless I lay a tank across my bed, lol .. So I was wondering if I could get some pictures or some advice on making the BEST out of a 10gallon tank. This is for ONE gecko!

i made (well my brother made) a second level. its basically a flat piece (mines plastic) that is whatever width the tank is (i dont remember) by 7 inches, and about 4 inches high, held up with wooden dowels (screwed on) covered with a towel (thats my substrate) and i took a thin piece of wood and covered it with felt (hot glued) as a ramp. i catch my female up there everyonce and a while. but she really likes to hide under the ramp. you could also try a hammock (pet stores have 'em) they suction to the sides and i've seen alot of pics up here where people use them. sorry i didnt include pics- i had a long day and am being lazy. try searching "upstairs". hope this helps!!

Well, this is my 10 gallon that I'm housing Loki in.

I gave him three hides plus a little bench thing to climb on and some unscented garland. It's not much but it looks alright and he seems to like it a lot. :)

well, here's mine.

i made the second level by sealing a peice of wood (not ceder) to the upper part of the aquarium with aquarium sealant.

My camera's all funky, so I cant take any pictures. My setup is simplistic compared to many others, but my gecko seems very happy in it. I have carpet as a substrate, and the cold side is on the left and the hot side is on the right. In the front left corner is the water bowl, and the cold hide is a pot about 8 in. high and 6 in. wide with a large crack in the front that the gecko goes in and out from. The middle has a piece of twisted wood that looks like driftwood but I found it on dry ground that rests on the pot and the hot hides. The hot hides are made out of three rocks, the base is a quarter circle about 2" high and 10" long but on the right side the bottom is cut out, making a cave 1" high. There are two rocks on top of it, a flat one and one shaped like a corner piece that forms a cave.

My computer won't let me download my pictures for some stupid reason but we have several 10 galons and my husband made "caves" out of flat river rock and they also serve as second stories. He made one for each end of the tank and we slide the humidity hides under the rock formation.

Alusdra.. I would have NEVER thought about a turtle ramp.

Thanks for the all suggestions if you have more post them and pictures are greatly appreciated! I think I will go the second story or some type of landing. I was trying to get a bigger tank but I don't have the space and ppl around here want to charge close to 30 for a 15gallon when a 10gallon is 8.99, Lol. yes I'm cheap!

You think you're cheap? Every tank I've gotten but 1 came from freecycle. Cost to me, nada!

You can also use your hides on the bottom level to be your base for an upper level. A simple piece of tile or slate as a roof & you are movin' on up.

I tried freecycle and I got nothing.. Lol I tried craigslist and nothing! Grr.. Even though I might ask my mom to ask her friend. He's a sanitation officer and patrols the neighborhoods giving tickets to people that screwed up with the recycling and stuff. He always finds tanks, birdcages, stands, etc that people no longer want sitting on the curb so I might just ask him to keep his eyes opened for me, :)
