Hi guys!

I have some questions about Pacman Frogs. Now, I myself don't have a Paccy, however, a friend does and she needs advice.

The Pet Store peeps aren't always truthful with their advice, you know.

Anyway, here's what she needs to know.

#1. How often should it be fed? It's pretty small, typical size that you'd see at a pet store that sells them.

#2. What's a safer substrate? CocoFiber or Astroturf? She had moss, but apparently that can lead to the possibility of impaction, and we obviously don't want that.

Thanks for the advice in advance. :D

depends on how big the frog is (quarter size maybe?). Sorry in Brooklyn, NY they sell babies and adults in all the stores but since you said tiny (guessing baby/juvi), it should be fed daily. don't forget to dust with cal and cal w/d3 (not too much with the d3, maybe every other feeding or every third, then sixth, etc.).

Yea if its REALLY young feed it daily, when mine reached about 30 grams I switched to every other day, then at 100grams I went to once a week, and he is still growing like a weed! And yea coco fiber is best!

up to 2 inches should be fed every 1-2 days
2-4 inches, feed 2-3 days
adults 4-5+, should be fed every 7-10 days

astroturf can dry out the frog. Stick with coco fiber
