Honestly, sphagnum moss isn't my first choice. But again, if the eggs look good and incubation seems to be going well, I would just leave them be.

I think he realizes that the moss isn't the best incubation medium. He said that he just got some perlite and asked if he should change out the eggs that are in moss right now to perlite. To me that says he knows it need to be changed and is doing that.

Honestly either way i don't think its such a big deal. If the egg is doing alright in the moss then you might just want to leave it and just put the new eggs in the perlite.

If you change them over to the perlite just be extra carefull with the egg and don't move it that much. You might want to have the new container and medium in the incubator for a minute to warm up before you put the egg in it.

A while back i got new containers for my eggs because of issues with the old ones. I moved the eggs over to the new containers and they are still doing fine getting bigger, staying white and no dents.
