Personality trait or is something wrong?

Well, to put simply, my new Leo likes to squish itself up between the glass and his 2 for $1 baskets used for its hide boxes. My dad also thinks he was "chirping" last night. I have waterbowl and one of the baskets on the cool side and the humidity chamber and the warm hide on the warm end. I use a lamp and a UTH (for now, cold house).

Is this its personality or am I doing something wrong? Its a baby if that helps.

sometimes leo's do make some sounds, so that would be normal. Whats the temp. in the terrarium ? maybe its too hot and it's trying to get away from it - or it just feels safe for it to sqirm into a narrow spot.

mine liked to squeeze itself into a little crack in between a bridge and its warm hide for the first month or so. I think the smaller space made it feel safer in a new enviornment. Now she will just sleep out in the open and doesnt even care if I pick her up while she is sleeping, she doesnt even wake up sometimes.

I have one that still likes to squeeze in between her humidity hide and the rock that covers it. I always know if I can't find her, I nd to look there.

When Puzzle was a baby he would squish himself in between the rock and the wall, or underneath the little rock I used to hold down the temperature probe. He doesn't do that anymore, but I remember thinking it was so funny. He liked tiny little spaces.

Geckos need food, heat to process the food, water, and equally as important, they need to feel safe and secure. Make sure the little guy has places to hide that are on both the warm and cool end, and place his food and water dishes near the opening to his cool side hide--then he won't have to expose himself to drink or eat. Hope this helps :)
