I am looking forward to breeding my phantom, but I do not know what I am going to breed her with. Right now I only have 2 male normals het 100% blizzard and right now with my limited knowledge of genetics I do not want to breed them to her because of all the possible hets and combinations that I will get out of the pairing and placing those unproven geckos out there for pets.

So what would you recommend to breed my phantom with. I would prefer not to have any enigma morphs, but opinions are all welcomed.

My Phantom the day I got her from her previous owner.

I would go with a RAPTOR, some kind of stripe or even a tang. It all depends on what you want to get

I thought phantoms were tremper mack snows?
or are they tremper TUG snows?

Is there a difference? People have gotten supersnows from TUG x Mack before, right?

I would breed her to a Supersnow, either non het, or het for tremper. Non het would guarantee that whatever albino line she's from, all the offspring would be het for. If I am right in my suspicions about phantoms = tremper, a supersnow het tremper should give you various snows, supersnows, phantoms, and maybe even a supersnow tremper.

The phantom was created by breeding the TUG Snow line with Super-Hypomelanistics Carrot Tails, then breeding the offspring of the Snow/Carrottails to Sunglows (Tremper albino strain). The offspring of the Snow/Carrot/Sunglow were then breed together to get the phantom.

Go with a good looking RAPTOR.couple years you'll get snow RAPTOR a new line.

FIRST.

Talbino eclipse patternless striped X [1C]Talbino snow hyper aberrant = .

Talbino normal HET Eclipse.
Talbino aberrant HET Eclipse.
Talbino hyper aberrant HET Eclipse.
[1C]Talbino snow HET Eclipse.
[1C]Talbino aberrant HET Eclipse.
[1C]Talbino hyper aberrant HET Eclipse.

Body patterns of Striped,Reverse striped,Patternless striped also possible.
---------
Talbino eclipse patternless striped X [2C]Talbino snow hyper aberrant = .

[1C]Talbino snow HET Eclipse.

THEN.

[1C]Talbino snow ?????? HET Eclipse X [1C]Talbino snow ?????? HET Eclipse = .

would you be able to better explain 1C and 2C. I know that they are referring to "het" and "hom", but that is about all I understand. These are the 2 possible outcomes from the pairing, but I do not exactly understand how the gecko would appear visually.

[1C]=1 COPY=(HET).
[1C]=2 COPY=(HOM).

There is NO! visual differance between a [1C]&[2C].
The differance is with the offspring outcome when bred.

[1C]Snow X Normal = .

Normal.
[1C]Snow.

[1C]Snow.
[2C]Snow.
---------

thanks for clearing that up Gazz. Now to find a nice RAPTOR to go with her. I have found a few nice Mack Temper Albinos, but no RAPTORs that I like. What makes it even more difficult is that it is now below 0F where I live.
