Could someone explain to me what a phantom morph is? What genetics are involved in this particular morph. In my inexperienced eyes, they kind of look like albinos...with probably red pupils. Are they? Thanks in advance.

Here is the description from the creator of the Phantom morph...The Urban Gecko, or TUG (taken from their website):

Every so often, you embark on a breeding project that takes you on an exciting journey of discovery. What began for us as curiosity with this project soon led to intrigue, then to an all-out obsession. But the incredible result was well worth our investment of time and emotion because the Phantom is like nothing else we’ve seen before.

An Urban Gecko through and through, the Phantom required three years of development. It all began when we crossed our own very special Snow line with Super-Hypomelanistics Carrot Tails, in the hopes that the offspring would exhibit reduced pattern on the head, body and tail. The results were successful, so we then took the offspring from that union and crossed it into our most extreme Sunglows (Tremper albino strain). These offspring were even more unique, exhibiting reduced pattern from the head to the tail and the background coloration ranged from white to pastel yellow to a greenish hue. With the project moving in the right direction, we took the final step, which was selectively breeding the most exotic offspring to one another. This merger created the gecko we decided to name ‘Phantom.’

These very special geckos express either grey or pink eyes. Through selective breeding, we expect the Phantom to ultimately evolve into a gecko displaying beautifully soft shades of lavender, yellows and pinks with a patternless white tail.

I want them to deside what a phantom is.If you look at so called phantoms you will clearly see that there are TWO differant morphs in leo's being tagged as phantoms and that Talbino TUG snow and Talbino TUG snow hypo so which one is infact a phantom ??.

Well from their description and the way they went about creating it, I would pressume a true phantom is a TUG SNOW HYPO ALBINO.

A Phantom is a Tremper Pastel. In my eyes it’s no different than a Mack Tremper, or a Gem Tremper, it just has a different snow line.

TUG = The Urban Gecko

So if I want to make a Phantom I need a TUG Snow a SHTCT and a Sunglow?

So to get a Phantom I need to breed TUG Snow x SHTCT and then the Hypo TUG Snow x Sunglow and the jatchlings breed together (hatchling= Super Hypo TUG Snow Het for Albino) and then I get Phantoms?

It's a lot of time :)

in my thoughts
well they pretty much are Hypo Mack tempers .
If you would like to make one like they did then you would cross a Mack snow X a really nice SHTCTB. you would then pick the best Hypo Mack snow offspring and breed it to a nice Sunglow. out of that crossing you would pic a pair of offspring's that are Hypo mack snow het tremper and breed them to each other.
The results would be about %25 hypo mack tremper (phantom). The rest will be hypo Mack snows 66% het tremper, Super snows %66 het tremper and normals 66% tremper or trempers/Hybinos.
Hope that helps. you can skip a few gens by buying a Hypo snow and what not.
So after 3 seasons you would get a "phantom". Basically its a hypo Mack tremper.

...or you could save yourself two years and get a pair of phantoms. To me it doesn't make any sense to try to duplicate someone's line from scratch, I'd rather pick up where they left off, and see results in the near future, but that's just me.

Thanks a lot, I'll check if I buy directly a Phantom or try by the ones I told you, thanks a lot!

You don’t need a SHTCT at all. You could either use a Tremper albino, or a Sunglow. I’d personally prefer the Tremper, because then you don’t have to breed the color from the sunglow out of the snow line.

A Phantom is not a mack snow. It's an urban gecko snow. They're totally different lines.

Phantoms come from TUG, it's their line. If I were going for some Phantoms, I would go directly to the source. Hopefully that's where I would find the best examples of the morph (or line in this case). There is nothing stopping anyone from getting a pair and producing their own Phantoms, but I'm not sure the demand for Phantoms is such that anyone would do so. They are a nice line though, I would agree with that.

Totally agree with you, but still you can check with some breeders on this forum and maybe they can have available Phantoms from TUG's line, but I will buy a Phantom from TUG soon, thanks!

All the Phantoms I have seen are Brown Ugly Snow Albino's( Maybe because of the temps they were housed at). I have seen quite a few people selling them this past year and I was not impressed by a single one and these were all supposedly 5 Star animals purchased directly from the Originator. There are a couple of breeders who are working with the Line in the states as well, I will see if I can remember who.

I am not a Fan of Snows so It's a project i would never get into, but there are much Nicer looking Snow Albino Combos out there, that make the Phantoms look like a plan old washed out low grade Snow Albino. Take a look around and you will be amazed at what people have done.
