I just got back from 2 weeks of camp...
And a week before I left I had started a Dubia colony....and they didn't seem to be eating...so I was worried...
And no one in my house wanted to make sure they were eating or fill up the food container (a plastic lid)...so I wished for the best...
And they are all still moving and the food and water was almost out...
Thank gooooodness...

One more thing...
There is tons of poo in the little cups of the egg flats...should I do something to clean it out...or will they be fine...

Thanks, Sam

OK I just learned that babies eat the poop :D
So its no big deal...
But I have a couple questions.
I don't wanna feed my dubias to my leo right when I get him/her (in 2 weeks) because I wont have enough...so I will probably use crickets for a month...
Can I put my crickets in the container with the roach flats, gut load, water crystals, and dubias?
Or would it not be safe....
I wouldn't be breeding just keeping the crickets.
And I know they are scared of the light but heat makes them breed faster...
So I would love to use my extra spot light to heat up the container...but I don't want them to be stressed...would a spot light make it too hot/too bright for them to do anything?

Thanks for any replies :D

Dubias like it dark, so I don't think a light is a good idea. We use an uth for heat in the tubs. Good luck!
