phoenix worms Get a A+ in my books! i ordered some from the main company that breeds them. It was a late night and by next morning they had been shipped to me! :p only 2 days later they came.....I have tried other dealers with phoenix worms this is the best service by far ..... i ordered 400 Large phoenix worms...Today i tried them out and all i have to say is they work! And i cant believe it because these feeders really open a opportunity for my reptiles with the highest levels of calcium compared to the feeders Along with other Great values. just view there "Nutritional Comparison Chart" see just how good these feeders are :) the Large size is perfect for geckos i wouldn't go any smaller.(i have tried and didn't see the point) Also before you get worried, they cant hurt you in fact they are Almost cute with there little snouts... :D Try them for your geckos here are just some of my geckos eating the phoenix worms. :main_thumbsup:

They cant hurt you, and there kinda cute.

Too bad we don't have phoenix worms available in HK! Otherwise I'll definately give that a try!

i have a feeling that they could be the ticket to help break a gecko from the addictiveness that wax worms carry since they look very similar. Could also be a good feeder for problem feeders that seem to turn their nose up at everything and eat only wax worms... thanks for the pics!!

yup, However there Flies that LOOK like wasp, you would have to do this outside with a kit some people sell because there great for compost. they cant hurt you, the only thing they have going for them is Looking like a wasp. but they cant bite or sting. there the "black solider fly" here is a link for that, however i think i will keep ordering them till i see that i can use Larger numbers.

My geckos really took to them. with them wiggling around. even for geckos that tend to eat later on.... i Write down on the bin how many i put in and let them be alone...by this morning All of the bins are empty..and refilled them with a few more! In fact my other male Is waiting for even more...for so long he fell asleep in his food bowl. Haha!

I like to dump some of them into the substrate in my anole tank, they eventually emerge as a flies and the anoles just love them. They are kind of scary looking flies, but they are harmless.

I tried some a couple of months ago and had no luck, my leos don't care for it much. I have not given up on them and would like to go at it again. I like that you do not need fancy storing requirements, just keep them at room temp. and of course the higher calcium content is a PLUS.

nope, Just pick the ones you want from the cup, Sometimes if it dries out just put a few drops of water and that's it. Pretty simple

Maybe I should try them again. Mine ignore them.:(

Mine ignored them too Kristi. Don't know why. Also I didn't like them because they are too mobile and crawl out of any type of food dish and crawl all over the place. I prefer mealies and butterworms, although butterworms escape as well...but they are fat and you only need to spot feed a few at a time. Butters sometimes are good and other times my leos won't touch them either.

I find that giant mealworms are by far the most desired by my adult leos. Even finicky leos can't seem to resist a nice juicey giant mealy.

I noticed in your pic that you use plastic dishes that tip over. I ordered small glass pyrex petri dishes. They work great and do not tip over, easy to clean in the dishwasher at high temp, and the leos can see the food from the side.
You can buy them from a lab supply house like VWR.
