Well, convince your wife that getting a goliath bird eater is the best step for the both of you and then let me know. I still have about a dozen babies left. :D You can raise them from little fuzzball spiderlings.

i would love to take them off your hands but shipping them would cost me a fourtune

A. bicegoi are not much different than any of the other avics except A. bicegoi does get a bit larger. They are flighty, but not defensive spiders. They'll spook easily so they're likely to run up your arm or jump at a moment's notice. That and they shoot their poop!

My larger T. blondi are a bit over 9" or so. I don't measure them though. I couldn't care less really. Most will not even break 10". Only a few exceptional specimens make it past that mark. I wouldn't mind if mine grew more, but they've slowed down quite a bit in growth. That said, they are an impressive spider regardless of their legspan. Their size (they are a bulky spider) is such that they get quite a bit of attention when I take them to shows or presentations.

Right now the moms are guarding the following eggsacs: 4 indian ornamentals, 2 ghost ornamentals, 1 Mexican fireleg, 1 Indian Violet, and a Mexican redrump is laying her eggs as I type this. We have a number of other females that are gravid as well. I'll post pictures this weekend as I'm pulling a few of the eggsacs to incubate them myself the rest of the way.

I love the indian ornamentals. I love the vibrant yellow that they have on the legs. Oh and by the way you do have a spider problem. lol but we all have some kind of problems???? Could you post a pick of one of your Ornamentals?
