Photoshop?

I see alot of photos up here with some sweet effects, tints, etc (i really like when the whole photo is black and white with one thing in color lol) and was wondering how to do it? is there a program to download/ buy/ etc? i've heard of paint.net and just got a photoshop.com account today cuz i was bored:main_rolleyes:. anywho...any advice?

There are good enough free effects on Photobucket, it's pretty new. I have Photoshop, and you can do it on there, but Photobucket is easier if you're just wanting to do basic things.

If you decide to buy an editing program, check out http://www.acdsee.com. You can download trials for free. I use acdsee pro because it has a lot of features for only $130. I'd love to have Photoshop CS4 but shelling out $700 for it isn't in the near future!

The are certain ways to get programs. Google "bit torrent"

Other than that, there's a good program that I use to manage my sister's photography studio site for her. It's called irfanview and it's easy, super quick, and the learning curve for even the most beginning people isn't steep.

If my clients do not have photoshop, or do not want to invest in purchasing the software, I will recommend they check out www.pixlr.com - it is a great, FREE, online image editing tool. Most of the editing tools are similar to photoshop, it even has some built-in filters and adjustment settings.

I have Adobe Photoshop CS2, it's pretty great. I found it easy to learn. I also have CS3, I think.

Adobe also offers 30 day free trials, download photoshop or fireworks for free and play with it. There are a lot of great tutorial sites out there.

I use paint.net. Its pretty much the same thing brittany showed you, but ALOT easier to use with all the same tools and its free to download from http://getpaint.net. its amazing . PM me if u need help figuring out the details of it if u decide to download it. It took me a half hour with my friend to figure out how to use some of the effects, but its very simple once u know what each tool is

Thank god my wife is going to school for web design because she gets a heck of a discount buying the programs thru the school. I can't believe the price of photoshop after i read that. She got photo shop cs4 and dreamweaver cs4 for $280.00. If I would have to of paid the full price she would have cut into my Leo Purchases.
