Thanks everyone for the nice comments. I'll try to update when I get a chance in a few weeks. It is amazing how much they can change in a short period of time.
Also, I got several email/messages from people who were interested in the offspring. Unfortunately, I gave a few away already (some friends gave me a bunch of knobttails) and I won't know until later which ones I plan to keep.
I wanted to post some updated photos of the hatchlings in the first pages of the thread...but when i checked the incubator last night and this morning...i had more hatchlings to post photos of...dang it! =P
I think red stripes and patternless stripes are quickly becoming my favorite...it's like a box of chocolates, you won't know how the hatchlings will look when they come out! Each one is unique and different!
The last photo is an albino fattail that just hatched, it was so exhausted from climbing out of the egg that it had to take a "nap" using other eggs for a pillow!
More photos...even the darts were interested in the hatchlings! I was taking photos of the hatchlings and kept noticing that all my frogs were "watching" and jumping against the glass. Just thought it was somewhat amusing.
All my dendrobates have only live plants and are almost "self sustaining", meaning they are so well seeded with springtails and other organisms, and the ammonia/nitrite cycle is so well balanced- all I do is add water and enjoy! In fact, I only feed my frogs every 10-14 days!
:main_laugh: Before I got to your last post I was just thinking how much I was loving the CT on that smokin' little one! And not just CT, but some pretty intense body coloration for a hatchling, as well! That's going to be a keeper, for sure!
