Very Sweet babies!!

Beardies really are the best lizard for handling imho
They just seem to enjoy chillin' with ya

I have known many people to use bran with good results
The only thing that I heard from them is that it is a bit dusty

Enjoy those babies-they grow up really fast!

THanks! They are pretty calm. Especially king fatty. lol. He ate 10 crickets two days in a row....OMG! lol. Today...I think he ate one so far. lol. I'm sure I'll look in there tonight and they'll all be gone. I haven't had any dust in this bag of bran. I think it depends on the mill you get it from and stuff.

Well, 10 a day would be a breeze. Ive had 3 beadies over the past 8 years. I still have 2 lost one to yellow fungus 5 years back. Other 2 are old, a bit on the skinny side, ( kinda happens when ya get old i guess.) But as young ones my beardeds had no problem eating upwards of 60-100 pinhead crickets a night. As they matured they ate 30-40 but 10 seems a bit slack to me....They were getting a salad mix in the am crix in the pm then salad after crix. I never had any obesity problems..Gotta cut WAYY down on crix when they get older but they need the protien at a young age. Also the bearded pellets that..zoo med i think has...soaked in water on greens is good too.
My Beardeds poop ALWAYS stank the older they get the worse it gets lol...and they all had clear bills of parasite health. Good luck Matt/Mal they can be a handful, but very rewarding pets If you take the time :)

no ours don't stink at all either.

Whitney, have you had yours checked for parasites?

Yep. Both are good to go. They've always had a nasty odor about their poo (more than normal poo stink).

I know it's not just me and my parents. Ha. I've talked to a few people I know with them, and they agreed that they smell. I dunno...

And 10 a day is nothing. My girls will eat like 50 larges if I let them. They've always bee voracious feeders. They'll snatch up 5 or 6 large discoids and still look around for more.

We have a couple of stinky poopers too :p

.... and if I could just get them to "go" in one spot like a leo they would definitely win my heart even more :main_thumbsup:

I would like to setup an outdoor cage and breed these guys one summer. I loved the ones I kept for a while, but boy did they stink..

Upload some pics of these to the wallpaper site :)

I knew I couldn't have been the only one. Ha.

My girls tend to go either on their fake rock 2nd level, which is very hard to clean but they don't care, or right in front of the tank by the food bowl.

Our male took a huge poop the other day and it did stink until it dried. Lol. Of course, he HAD to poop on the tile! The hardest thing to clean!

That's what I'm talking about. See I knew I wasn't crazy. lol. My girls have had some that stink up the entire back end of the house, but the smell didn't go away even after I bagged it and ditched the bag.
