Please eat :(

Alright, so here's the deal: My baby Leopard Gecko who I've had for a week won't eat so much. The first day s/he ate fine. The second day, he got his lower lip stuck on the Reptile Carpet while eating the last cricket. Now he eats only 1-2 a day and today he wouldn't eat anything. I tried feeding him in a box, because I suspected he was scared of getting caught again. He still wouldn't eat. Any help?

Using a UTH on a 10-gallon tank, with 2 hides, a moist hide, and a water dish, for those who question if he's scared or not.

Think about replacing the reptile carpet with paper towel and, eventually, with something like ceramic tile. I think he may be scared. In addition, he's still getting used to a new environment and when you move him out of the place he's getting used to into a different place for feeding, I think it's too much for him. Change the substrate, give him a few more days and feed him in his regular home. Hopefully that will help.

I understand where you're coming, but he's really small.... I'll post a pic in a second.

Don't worry too much. Sometimes they take a little while to get used to their surroundings. Even if it isn't every day, or only some each day it is still eating.

Got it all fixed :) It was a little cold on the warm side, only 86 with a UTH and a 50-watt bulb. I moved up to a 100 watt bulb and put the 50 watt on the cold side. Now my temps are practically ideal without lamp dimmers :D It's 80 on the cold side and 93 on the warm side. I don't see how everyone manages with "just a UTH"

I must just have a cold house.
