Holy crap.

That geckos need vet care yesterday!
It will most likely need to be humanely euthanized.

If you have other geckos you need to be super careful, that could be crypto or something else infectious.

I have been washing my hands with sanitizer and soap when I work with this gecko after i clean the other cages. I have also been using clorox wipes and chlorhexidine with water to clean tools, and I am trying to cross the least amount of tools possible. Do you think this would be enough to contain a contagion. Been trying to trying to quarantine as best as possible. This is sad received this gecko free and seller didn't tell me it carried anything.

Bleach doesnt kill crypto.

Would you recommend i take in stool samples of all my geckos when i take this one in along with its stool sample. 6 other geckos.

Would it be possible to stop the crypto of if the others are found positive. All others are still gaining weight.

Yes bring fresh samples to make sure it hasnt spread.
I hope your others are okay, there probably isnt any hope for this one.

Thank you for your help was reading articles on leopard gecko wiki says it unlike that it will spread by touching of the skin and even more unlikely by tools. Most common way is being housed together and contracting it by drinking the same water, eating the same food or, coming in contact with fecal matter, which non of my others have done. Thanks again for the information.

Thats IF its crypto.
To be completely honest with you, Ive never seen a gecko in this bad of shape.
It needed professional help a long time ago, I really hope your vet can see you first thing in the morning.

I had an outbreak and it can very much so be spread by utensils (we have feeding tongs). I would take every precaution possible.

The gecko was giving to me. As i the one i had ordered one a pure blizzard and i received this. They gave me a refund. Didn't give me an history with it. I have cleaned everything with bleach and ammonia hoping none others are infected. Thanks again

You're kidding? Somebody actually sent you a leopard gecko in this state? I'm not gonna lie, I think you should let everybody know the name of this company. I don't ever want to deal with a company that has leopard geckos looking like that. Let alone sending them out.

In all honesty I'm surprised that little guy is still alive...

That's horrible. I would go to the Fauna Classifieds Board of Inquiry and create a thread on the company if I were you. Hopefully they would prevent this from ever happening again if it was brought to light.

Story is. I originally ordered a pure blizzard and received this i reckon it is an ablino or tang. I also ordered a red bearded dragon which didn't come into contact with this one and is doing very well gaining a lot of weight. When i received I immediately emailed them because it had dropped its tail, which i was not told it would have a dropped tail and was not a blizzard, also it was only 2 grams and couldn't have been more than a week old. They gave me a refund. It didn't eat normal, i had to force feed, and this developed soon after arrival, and did not originate from my colony of 6 because all of my other geckos did not come in contact with this one and are all healthy gaining wait steadily. The little one died before I could get it to a vet. I am hoping none of my other geckos get infected.

I don't think is entirely fair that I name the company. I dont think it is the companies fault. The shipping manager made the mistake, and i doubt was a qualified specialist or hobbiest that would be able
To tell the morph or that it was sick. The customer service was very good and actually knew what they were doing gave me a refund and apologized for the shipping manager.

Message to all to be extra safe quarantine your geckos or Newly purchased reptiles for At least 3 month or get the gecko/ any reptile fully examined before you start to introduce other reptiles or tools you use with healthy geckos on it. This most likely saved the rest of my colony hopefully.
