It's okay, when we got Mr.T, Cleo and Domino, we housed them all together on sand, no quarantine, different sized geckos, Mr.T turned out to be a male, pretty much everything you are not supposed to do.:main_laugh: There were no eggs that came of it but there was an impaction and some positive fecal exams.(They are all okay now) Stuff happens, we learn from it and make the best of it :) Goodluck with your possible mini Neelys!

Off topic but where in Mass are you from? I grew up in Westford. Have you ever been to Kimball Farm?

The OP was given advice by a very experienced breeder. It was that person's opinion, and she was giving an open and honest one. I respect that. Maybe some should do so also rather than getting their feelings hurt because someone is being honest and forthright. Think about it.

I didnt say that Mels advice was bad just givin a little harsh. The Op sounds as though she cares and is trying to do the right thing. I honestly agree with freezing the eggs due to the male having issues. I dont agree with freezing just because she was not trying to breed. She cares enough to have them seen by a vet when issues arise, is seaking help, and she is trying to do what she thinks is best.
What did the male die from?

December neely stopped eating. We had just moved him in a new cage away from cali and thought he just needed to get use to it. Almost 3 weeks went by with no eating and no pooping and we brought him to a herp vet. She said he had liver disease and it became to a point where he wasnt growing. At this point he was still active and didnt physically seem sick. We noticed his "balls" seemed a little enlarged and my bf was rubbing neelys stomach and some clear liquid came out. He continued to rub and literally an explosion of backed up pooped came out. It was the runniest gooiest smelliest thing BUT to us it made us happy. We thought he must have been backed up and maybe this could be a contributing factor to his not eating. Later that day he ate 2 mealworms and pooped the next day. We thought he was gonna make it. Our vet gives weekley checkup calls and we told her this. He never ate again. We forced fed him reptiaid mixed with mealworms and crickets on a daily basis and warm soaks. We figurerd hed get better. A month went by and he slowly got worse he got to the point where he rarely left his humid hide or even had the strength to open his eyes. We put him to sleep a little over 2 weeks ago. He went from being the happiest little gecko to so sickly in under 3 months. Thats why cali being pregnant with his babies would be amazing. Neely was the only one of our geckos we have ever bought from a petstore. He was beautiful and had a figure 8 on his tail. My bf named him neely after cam neely #8 on bruins. We didnt think hed make it a day. He was so skinny and tiny and even regurgitated before we got him home from the petstore. But over the next 6 months he became amazing! He was a champ at eating and was so active never had any trouble shedding or anything. We couldnt believe he was the same gecko. He was a great little guy.

I understand and maybe I am just not as offended or bothered by harshness as some are. As long as someone is being honest with me and trying to help me out I appreciate that. Maybe it's something that comes with age and life experiences I have no idea. I used to be more sensitive when I was younger, I know that.

Anyway to Cayla & Adam, best of luck with your geckos, whatever you decide to do with the eggs.
