Fiancé and I rescued our 2 geckos about a month ago. 1 male Leo and 1 female albino that's blind. They were neglected and have made mass improvements. Including our female now eating on her own. However, our male has been showing signs for over a week of wanting to mate, and she has denied him every time. She literally runs as though she is scared. The previous owners claim she has had clutches in the past, never successful. What could be the problem?

Thanks!

The female may not be ovulating and will reject the male if she isn't. Are you sure they're now of the appropriate weight and health for breeding?

No I'm not sure. Because we rescued them I'm not sure how old they are. Owners said they had them for 4 years. Our female was very thin when we got them. We have her feeding herself now and she's gained weight since. She's also become much more active.

Can you place a separator in the middle of the enclosure so they each have their own protected territory?
