This is my leopard gecko Poptart! I cound't think of a name so I named him Poptart.

Looks like a Normal/High Yellow maybe Mack Snow. You would have to test breed to be sure.

I know sand's not the best for them but last time I changed the sand and put something else my lizard got sick and died.

I'll see what I can do for the sand but on this video it says calcium sand is fine and the store where I got Poptart he was in calcium sand. http://www.videojug.com/film/how-to-care-for-leopard-geckos I'm sure you guys know more though.

Hate to break it to you, but calcium sands are actually worse than regular sands because they contain, hence the name, calcium, which leopard geckos are naturally and instinctively attracted to. Using calcium sands actually increases the chance of impaction in leos because the geckos may start to consume the substrate on purpose for supplemental reasons along with the possibility of accidentally ingesting some from missing food on a strike or lunge for it.
