Prayer Request

Our sweet little grandson, Pheonix, will be getting biopsies done next Friday due to some swollen lymph nodes and unexplained bouts of illness. Pheonix is only two years old and the the light of our lives. We're trying hard not to imagine the worst.

I know it may sound silly, guys, but if you think about it, if you all could put in a good word for our little guy, we sure would appreciate it.

I know I'm a bit biased, being the granma and all, but he just such an amazing, sweet and loving little boy. It breaks our heart to think he might be sick.

The phone rang tonight and when I picked it up, I heard this sweet little voice say, "Is this my Yaya?" (Talk about a voice that makes your day!)

So my Pheeni talked to me for 10 minutes, telling me about goin' to the doctors and playin' at daycare and eating bah-wuck-oo-lee and ssska-WASH for dinner. Then he wants to talk to Papa...

FINALLY... Josh gets on the phone to tell me what the doctor had to say. Pheeni will be getting surgery on Tuesday the 15th to remove the two swollen lymph nodes. They are still going to send them to pathology, just to check, but the doctors strongly believe there is nothing to worry about.

Not 100% out of the woods yet, but the big "C" is getting further and further away.

UPDATE!

Our sweet little Pheeni had his follow up with the doctors and I'm am thrilled to report he is cancer free!
No signs of Lymphoma, just a severely infected lymph node.

He told me that it hurt, but daddy got him chicken nuggets so he's all better now.
