Prescribed supplement feeding

My lizard is having trouble laying her eggs, so my vet gave me a bottle of liquid calcium. Does anyone know how I can successfully give this to her? Last time I attempted to hand feed through a syringe it was kind of a disaster. I really don't want to try force-feeding, is there some alternative or technique I can use?

Sit back with the gecko on your chest. Put your hand gently over the gecko. If it wants to move, let it and then see if you can get it to sit quietly under your hand. Put one drop of the calcium on its nose. It will likely lick the calcium off. Go one drop at a time.
If this is just impossible, check with your vet to see if this is acceptable: dip your finger in some water and then dip it in calcium powder. This will create a paste. Rub some of the paste around the gecko's mouth and nose and hopefully it will lick it off.
I'm not a vet, but it does seem to me that while calcium supplementation is good in a long term way to help the gecko get through the rigors of breeding season, if it's having trouble laying one particular clutch of eggs, it may need some oxytocin to stimulate the eggs to come out (and if that doesn't work, some egg-bound geckos do need surgery). This is something you can ask your vet about, as I am in no way qualified to give advice you should just follow on your own.
