You never know. His brother hatched yesterday at 39d and this guy at 40. He doesn't appear to be doing well at all. No absorbed yolk, but still breathing. I placed him on a damp paper towel in his bator. I've seen worse hatchlings from others so keeping fingers crossed.
Anyhow, he's the most lavendar I've seen on a bell-that's my main reason for sharing. Only two small yellow bands-one is more of a spot than a band. He's not even from a lavendar project either.

I had a tremper that hatched fine last year, but the next day or so, I noticed that the stomach had what appeared to be retained yolk sack. I didn't notice it at all the first 2 days, but after the 3rd day it appeared. She didn't make it past 1.5 weeks.

I had one that just hatched a couple of weeks ago and it looked like her insides were coming out.....(it was the umbilicus). She also hatched VERY tiny, and was pretty premature. She is almost two weeks old now, eating and pooping just fine!! *knocks on wood*

Best of luck with your little one. :)

these little guys are fighters by nature. I hope yours puts up a good fight and pulls through. Best wishes.
