Producing Diablo Bianco

No problem, glad to help!

When you say Blazing Blizzard Eclipse do you mean Diablo Blanco? If it's a Diablo Blanco and you plan to breed it to a Raptor then you will get Raptor hatchlings that are het for DB and then the following season you could breed a hatchling or multiple hatchlings to it depending on the sex of them and you could produce Diablo Blancos from them. It looks like it's good quality, whether it's worth buying is up to you.

Based on my understanding (im still learning), that BB Eclipse is hatched from a pair of BB parents and the breeder is lucky to get a BB Eclipse from those parents. I am told and read that a BB Eclipse is a DB because of the Eclipse trait in it ( the DB is a combination of Blizzards, Tremper Albinos, Tremper Eclipse, and Patternless Stripe).

So to get a pure DB from the combination of BB Ecplise (DB) x Raptor, I would need to cross their hatchlings to each other and will get DBs in the next gen? Raptor het DB x Raptor het DB = DB?

Sort of. You would do Diablo Blanco x Raptor and every baby would be a Raptor het DB. And if the Diablo Blanco was a male then you would incubate the hatchlings for femlae and vice versa if the diablo Blanco was a female. The following breeding season you would do Diablo Blanco x Raptor het DB pairings and the offspring from them would have a 50% chance of being a Raptor het DB and a 50% chance of being a Diablo Blanco.
You only have a 25% chance of getting Diablo Blancos from a Raptor het DB x Raptor het DB pairing.

just to clairfy.

A Blazing Blizzard Eclipse IS a Diablo blanco..

To clarify further,

1) A BB has yellow marking on its body, and the Eclipse trait randomly pops out on BB makes it a DB? But a DB is supposedly totally white?
2) If a BB Eclipse breed to a DB will it have 100% DB offsprings, or chances some of it are BB het DB?

Thanks.

Understood.

For my sake of knowing, originally to get a DB is by breeding a BB to a Raptor. This will get a Raptor het DB. And after that breed again the offspring back to the DB to get a DB?

And how is this male BB specimen? :)

1) A DB can be either white or show slight yellow. I have both forms.
2) The baby was labelled as a BB Eclipse because it was produced from normal BB parents with no Raptor genes in them. Anyone with sound genetic understanding may correct me if I am wrong and I'll have it corrected to fit the bill. :)
3) I'd appreciate it greatly if you'd request my permission to use my pics next time. It can be considered rather rude if it was someone else. But I'll take this in the good spirit of learning. :main_yes:

My apology Rafiq, since i thought the photo is already embedded with the watermark of your branding that it would be ok :) It is purely meant for learning, yes.

Thanks.

Assuming that a BB Eclipse is indeed a DB, once bred to another DB it should have 100% DB and not a single BB correct?

If it doesn't have eclipse gene and is only a blazing blizzard with eclipse eyes then it's not a diablo blanco. Just like a super snow Tremper has solid eyes but is not a super raptor.
Hi Thor.

Thanks for the clarification. I've spoken to another experienced breeder here an have to agree that this is not an eclipse in terms of genetics. Both the parents were just the average Tremper Blazing Blizzards. I will be correcting the labelling of the animal as just a Tremper Blazing Blizzard to fit the genetic make up.

Again, thanks for the input! :main_thumbsup:

Thanks for sharing, that clarifies my reading is correct.
